On the streets of Vietnam - Food in the Raw
The local markets are a sight to be seen. Food is prepared without the standards that we are so accustomed too and expect in Australia. Neither Paul nor I became ill throughout the duration of the trip, which is amazing considering the food preparation standards are so different.
Fresh herbs are everywhere, all produce is on the ground, meat is prepared in the open and it's all supplied locally!
In Halong Bay, seafood is extremely popular and the local markets produce raw fish, shark, calamari, etc. Everything comes off the ship, is prepared on the side of the road and sold where it is prepared. It is truly amazing to see.
